The 11th Annual iCON Awards will be held next Tuesday, October 3rd, at the Chicago Field Museum. Time is running out to attend the dinner.

1. CELEBRATE THE GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS OF OUR INSPIRING iCON AWARD WINNERS

We will hear from our four inspirational award winners, Special Olympics Founder and Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne Burke, serial entrepreneur Ed Fiorentino from TerSera, innovative leader and founder of Naurex and Aptinyx Joseph Moskal from Northwestern, and an inspirational educator from Decatur Elizabeth Bartimus.

2. SUPPORT THE MISSION OF THE iBIO INSTITUTE

The iCON Awards Dinner benefits the operations and education programs of the iBIO Institute.

Since 2003 the EDUATE Center at the iBIO Institute has trained over 1,200 Illinois teachers with our curriculum and more than 1,400 girls from underserved and minority communities have participated in our after-school program and summer camps for girls from grades 3-8. EDUCATE Programming has reached over 110,000 Illinois students.

PROPEL Fuels the Illinois economy by increasing the number and success rate of Life Science start ups. PROPEL has worked with over 115 start ups who have raised over $275 million. PROPEL Companies have raised $214 for every $1 awarded by PROPEL.

All donations to the iBIO Institute will be recognized on stage during the iCON Awards Dinner.

3. NETWORKING WITH FRIENDS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS

This year’s iCON Dinner iCON is a can’t miss event. Join me and a few hundred of the leaders from the Illinois Life Sciences community at the best networking event of the year. This year we will not be offering a traditional seated gala dinner. Our new “reception-style” format will maximize networking opportunities with friends and community members.

The iCON Awards features exciting auction items. Donated by iBIO’s board members and Chicago’s leading institutions. Items range from a suite at a Chicago Bulls game to an instant wine cellar with over 30 bottles of wine rated 92 or higher donated by the iBIO & iBIO Institute Board of Directors.
